Tribute to my Son Justin.

Justin.

This is an excerpt from a Dolores Keanne / Emmylou Harris duet
called “Sonny”

Night’s are so long,
Silence goes on,
I'm feeling so tired,
And not feeling strong.

Sonny please don't go.

Justin Davidson born 3/2/1972 Died tragically 23/12/2005.

May Eternal rest be granted him Oh Lord
And may perpetual light shine upon him.
Peace be with him.

One of the hymns I chose for Justin’s Funeral Service

Now the laborour’s task is oe’r
Now the battle day is past;
Now upon a farther shore
Lands the voyager at last.
Father in Thy gracious keeping,
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping

There the tears on earth are dried,
There the hidden things are clear;
There the work of life is tried,
By a juster Judge than here.
Father, in Thy gracious keeping,
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.

There the Shepherd bringing home;
Many a lamb forlorn and strayed,
Shelters each no more to roam,
Where the wolf can neer invade.
Father, in Thy gracious keeping,
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.

My Son, My Son!

Margaret, thanks for the visit and the wishes. I hope that you and your family can have a Merry Christmas, in spite of the death of your son last year. I hope you will be able to find peace about it.

My thoughts are with you, Margaret...such a tragic loss. I can't begin to understand your grief over losing your son. So sad and such a waste...as Gwen wrote, remember the happy times...be grateful for the thirty-three years you shared with your boy. My best wishes go out to you.

Dear Margaret,
Our thoughts are with you at this time and also our sad memories of what came as such a shock to us all just one year ago, but perhaps it is fitting that it did happen at this special time of year, as he was a very special young man and his memory will be even stronger as each Christmas approaches.

Thinking of you....With love J & K

(((Margaret))) how sad a time for you - or perhaps not? A time to remember the good things, as others have said, and from reading your previous stories, now a young man at peace?

They say "Don't be sad that I am gone, celebrate that I was here" - I imagine easier said than done.

I don't have words to comfort you, but know that my heart is with you.

love
Della

Gidday Margaret,
For all the times I visited you, Lyle and Peter when you lived in Gympie, I never had the fortune to meet Justin.
There's the saying "time heals all wounds" and it's never truer than at times like this. Sure as time moves on the pain and loss of your son will gradually leave, but you need not be reminded that still the good times and memories will never be gone.
Take care and enjoy what you can of Christmas with family and friends.

sorry to hear of your loss.I my mom went home to heaven the 25th of nov.we missed her this christmas.but know she is in a better place.she had been sick a long time.confined to a bed do to breathing problems and other things.she has a new body now.it says in the bible "to be absent from the body is to be home with the Lord."so the child of God death has no sting the grave no victory.God give you His comfort at this time.and remember we will see our loved ones again and then no one or nothing can take them away from us.

Dearest Margaret...I had no idea you had lost a son so recently as last December! My heart goes out to you and I wish I was there to give you a big hug. I lost a baby on Dec. 20th, 1979 so it goes to show how Christmas is hard for some of us. Apart from that, I do hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Much love xoxo

Dear Margaret ~~ I was thinking of you on Christmas Day and hoping you were coping OK. Surely that was your worst ever Christmas, but at least Justin cannot be hurt anymore or feel more pain. A lot of us are wishing you well. Bloggers are nice like that, so stick to it as it may help.
Thank you Margaret for all your comments, I had a lovely week with Kathy and family, but it's good to be home. I would like to wish you a very happy, healthy, and prosperous
New Year in 2007. Much love, Merle.
